Ciarra Jones received her BA in American Studies from UC Berkeley and her Master of Theological Studies from Harvard University. She draws upon her unique background in American Studies and Theology in order to help organizations deepen their commitment to equity and inclusion. Prior to becoming an independent consultant Ciarra worked in higher education as an LGBTQIA+ Program Lead and a Diversity Specialist. She then went on to work for NerdWallet as a Finance Journalist and SEO specialist. Her prior work experience enables her to create innovative and effective solutions in both diversity, equity, and inclusion and strategic content management.

Ciarra believes that workplaces are sites connection, community, and belonging. As such, her approach to diversity consulting is humanistic. With her support, organizations can learn how to create more psychologically safe and interpersonally connected work environments.

Additionally, Ciarra utilizes transformative justice frameworks to address issues of bias and exclusion in the workplace. She is deeply skilled at working with organizations that are facing steep equity obstacles. She is an optimist who believes that all organizations can become more inclusive and welcoming – no matter where they start.

In addition to consulting, Ciarra is a speaker and writer. Her speaking engagements include Fox Soul TV, UC Berkeley, Mills College, and Harvard Club of New York.
