Bereavement is a health disparity yet grief is often underexplored and under-attended to in the workplace. However, as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, global unrest, systemic inequality, and vicarious trauma and its impacts, many employees are silently navigating grief in the workplace. As such, many employees are in need of compassion and empathy from their work environment.

In this workshop, we provide tools and practical approaches for engaging and caring for employee grief and fostering well-being in the workplace.

This workshop explores how to create psychologically safe work environments and and challenges participants to reimagine the workplace as a site of human connection. The training begs the question, how can we improve workplace culture by framing inclusion and belonging as a collective endeavor?

This training covers the basics of allyship best practices and teaches employees how to be aware of the experiences of their marginalized colleagues

This training focuses on two major concepts "dominant work culture" and "professionalism as a social construct." The curriculum in this workshop challenges participants to consider how certain workplace norms preclude historically underrepresented employees from not only experiencing belonging but also from being fairly evaluated and appreciated.

This training offers a historical overview of race and identity in America with a particular focus on anti-Blackness (enslavement, Jim Crow, Black Codes, segregation), gender discrimination, disability inclusion, and LGBTQIA+ inclusion. This training invites participants to think critically about how workplaces have historically been sites of exclusion and it challenges staff members to become agents of inclusion and belonging. This training also offers policies and practices for workplaces to consider implementing as a means to augment belonging.

In today’s diverse work environments, fostering an inclusive culture that respects and honors different religious beliefs is crucial for collaboration and innovation. This workshop aims to equip participants with the knowledge, tools, and strategies needed to create a workplace that values religious diversity. Through interactive discussions, case studies, and practical exercises, attendees will explore the legal and cultural dimensions of religious inclusion, recognize unconscious biases, and learn how to foster respectful communication among colleagues with differing beliefs. By the end of the workshop, participants will gain actionable strategies to promote an inclusive culture that ensures everyone feels valued, respected, and supported in expressing their identities.
